Fundraisers FAQ

What if I’ve never made candles before?
There’s a DVD that comes with the candle making kit that takes you through the process step-by-step. There is also a team of experts with Nussentials that are more than willing to help. You will find it is …easy and fun … to make candles.

Are there experts in the company that I can call on?
Yes, if you contact rep services at repservices@nussentials.com they will point you to one of our experts in your area. We will also have conference calls, both “live” and recorded, to provide support for you.

Are fundraisers really hard to do?
No, they’re actually a lot of fun – and quite profitable. They just require that you get yourself organized and stick to the ‘schedule’. Allowing ample time for all the required steps is crucial to success. Please make sure you review the Fundraiser Timeline. After your first one … you’re an “expert”. :-)

Can I really make money at this?
Absolutely! Remember your net profit is just about $5 per candle sold. Just do the math - $5 x 200 = $1000. Keep in mind that you are really only working a few days to make that kind of money. This is part time income that anyone can make.

What if I don’t have money upfront to get started?
You can actually do a fundraiser with no money up front because you set-up your FR so that they do the selling first, then give you your 50% of the money, then you buy the materials, make the candles and deliver them. The only issue is if you’ve never made our soy candles before you could be setting yourself up for a big learning experience.

You can also contact your upline, someone who has made candles and/or done a FR, and get some sample flyers and candles from them to use for your first FR.

Why can’t I use other materials that might cost less?
Nussentials does a lot or research and testing to assure that all of the candle making materials we offer are the very best quality available, and are all 100% pure soy. Other wax, fragrances, and wick products may contain ‘fillers’ or ‘additives’ that are not in alignment with our commitment to only delivering the best.

Nussentials can not allow it’s name to associated with any candle product coming from sources outside the approved list.

Does Nussentials have a source for the glassware?
Yes, we have an agreement with a glassware supplier that has agreed to give us bulk pricing for all of our reps, regardless the size of the reps’ order. And they guarantee that they will always have our style in stock. It works out to be about $1.10 per 10oz glass – and they are a great shape, weight and look.

Can I use my own or other sources for the glassware?
Yes, but keep in mind cost of shipping, pricing and availability. We have made it as simple as possible for you to get started by using what we have put together for you here.

How long does it take to do a successful fundraiser?
About 16 to 18 weeks from the moment you decide you want to do fundraisers to the follow-up and setting a date for your next FR with the organization.

What’s the hardest part of doing a fundraiser?
There’s nothing really hard about any part of it. As long as you follow your schedule, watch the candle making training DVD, make some candles beforehand for fun to learn about the actual process of making the candles, the rest of it is just about paying attention and keeping things on track.

Where do I find the organizations?
Just about every church, school, clubs within the schools, sports team, fraternities, PTAs, sororities, etc, etc, are looking for creative ways to fund their projects. Nu’s soy candle Fund Raisers are different, healthy, and offer more return to the sponsoring organization than most other fundraising companies out there.

So, make a list of all the various churches, schools, clubs, etc that you already have an ‘in’ with and start there. As you expand you can use the internet to find literally hundreds of other churches, schools, teams, etc in your area to contact.
